I saw my first Violet-Green Swallows on my property in years this am. One sat for the longest time on a fence post around my garden, allowing me to get a really good look at it. I went to get my camera, but it was gone by the time I returned.
I have probably 3 times the Barn Swallows nesting in and around my property this year than in past years. A very large flock of 50+ few in a few weeks ago. About half have stayed around.
