---On July 11, John Rawinski reported that the WESTERN GULL is still at
Blanca Wetlands on Pond #115.  Blanca Wetlands is closed to birders until
July 16.  On July 16, David Dowell reported WESTERN GULL, Lesser
Black-backed Gull and Snowy Plover at Blanca Wetlands.  On July 20 Sam
Fason reported WESTERN GULL on pond on road to South Mallard (115) and
Whimbrel on 115 at Blanca Wetlands.  On July 23, Sam Fason reported WESTERN
GULL and Lesser Black-backed Gull on large pnd east of North Mallard
parking area and 4 Snowy Plovers in various locations.

BOULDER COUNTY:
---On July 15, Gabirel Wiltse reported Lewis's Woodpecker and Red-headed
Woodpecker on Peak-to-Peak Highway.
---On July 15, Mary Brown reported ad Little Blue Heron and Green Heron at
Rogers Grove Park in Longmont.  David Dowell and Nick Moore refound the
Little Blue Heron and Green Heron at Rogers Grove Park on July 15.  On July
15, John Vanderpoel reported Little Blue Heron at Rogers Grove Park.  On
July 16, Chris Goulart and many other birders reported Little Blue Heron
and Green Heron at Rogers Grove Park.  On July 17, Tom Behfield, Art Hudak,
Jeff Parks, Wilem van Vliet, Bill Kaempfer and Peter Burke reported Little
 Blue Heron at Rogers Grove Park.  On July 18, Carl Starace and Mark

Rurik reported Little Blue Heron at Rogers Grove Park.  On July 23,
Michelle Puplava and John Rutenbeck and several other birders reported
Little Blue Heron at Roger Grove Park.
---On July 13, a f Summer Tanager was reported by Dennis Palafox on the
Bear Canyon Trail in Boulder Mountain Park.
---On June 24 a singing stub-tailed wren (Winter/Pacific) was reported by
Steve Mlodinow in Wild Basin of Rocky Mt NP just N of bridge that leads
away from Calypso Cascade towards Ouzel Falls.  On June 28, a Pacific Wren
was reported by Bill Rowe just below Calypso Cascades in Wild Basin of
Rocky Mt NP.  On July 4, Kathy Mihm Dunning reported Pacific Wren at
Calypso Cascades in Wild Basin of Rocky Mt NP.  On July 9 at Wild Basin in
Rocky Mt NP, David Dowell reported Pacific Wren, Black Swift on nest, 2
American Three-toed Woodpeckers.  On July 16, at Wild Basin, Ouzel Falls in
Rocky Mountain NP, Nick Moore reported Pacific Wren.  On July 19 Tim Mitzen
reported Pacific Wren near Calypso Cascades in Wild Basin of Rocky Mt NP.
On July 23 Chris Gilbert reported Pacific Wren at Ouzel Falls in Wild Basin
of Rocky Mt NP.

---On July 20 a Bobolink in non-breeding plumage was reported by Doug Kibbe
at Ponds at 160th Ave.  The bird was at the edge of the marsh.

CONEJOS COUNTY:
---On July 16, at Pinon Hills/John James Canyon, David Dowell reported
Black-throated Sparrow.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
---On July 17, Joey Kellner reported 12 Bobolink on Castlewood Canyon Road.
---On July 3, a Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Craig Rasmussen in
Castlewood Canyon SP.  On July 7 a singing Black-and-white Warbler was
reported by Jeff Thompson and Karen Metz.  On July 9. Glenn Walbek reported
Black-and-white Warbler and Bobolink on Castlewood Canyon Road.  On July
14, Josette Masta and Karen Metz reported singing Black-and-white Warbler
on Castlewood Canyon Road.

EL PASO COUNTY:
---On July 15, 6 Black Terns were reported by Kyle Hawley at Ramah
Reservoir SWA.  On July 17, Amy Gorospe reported 2 Black Terns at Ramah
Reservoir SWA.
---On July 15, 4 Brown-capped Rosy-Finch were reported by Oliver Griffin on
Pike's Peak.
---On July 2 on Funk Road, John Drummond reported 3 Chestnut-collared
Longspurs (2m, 1f) and 3 McCown's Longspurs.  On July 9, John Drummond, Joy
and Leonard Lake reported 4 Chestnut-collared Longspurs (3m, 1f) and a
McCown's Longspur on Funk Road.  On July 16 Joy and Leonard Lake reported
Chestnut-collared Longspur on Funk Road.  On July 20, Gloria Nikolali
reported 2 Chestnut-collared Longspurs on Funk Road.

FREMONT COUNTY:
---On July 17, a Cassin's Kingbird was reported by Daniel Fleming in
Penrose.

GARFIELD COUNTY:
---On July 20 at Silt Island Park, Gabriel Wiltse reported 2 Cassin's
Kingbirds.
---On July 8 Black Phoebes were reported by Mary Harris at River Valley
Ranch in Carbondale.  They appear to be nesting.  On July 14, Tom McConnell
reported Black Phoebes just downstream from Crystal River Fish Hatchery.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
---On July 21 an Upland Sandpiper was reported by Cynthia Madsen, Janet
Shin and Robert Raker at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield.
---On June 16 a m Bobolink was reported by Bruce Neuman and Cheri Phillips
at the Apex Center, Ralston Creek Trail.  On June 18, 3 Bobolinks were
reported by Lorraine Lanning behind Apex Center.  On June 26, Lexxa Moffit
reported 2 Bobolink behind Apex Center.  On July 4, Bez Bezidenout reported
Bobolinks at Apex Center.  On July 14, Lorraine Lanning reported Bobolink
in field S of paved trail on Ralston Creek Trail -- Maple Valley.  On July
15, Lorraine Lanning reported 3 Bobolinks (2m, 1f) on Ralston Creek Trail
-- Maple Valley.

KIOWA/PROWERS COUNTIES
---On July 19, Jill White Smith reported 24 Upland Sandpipers on the
Kiowa/Prowers county line.

LA PLATA COUNTY:
---On July 16, Susan Allerton reported Cassin's Kingsbirds on CR 136.  She
reported 1 Cassin's Kingbird between CR 128 to Hwy 140 and 2 Cassin's
Kingbirds between CR 140 and CR 128.

LARIMER COUNTY:
---On July 11 BAIRD'S SPARROWS were reported in a news release at Soapstone
Prairie Natural Area.  Biologists from Bird Conservancy of the Rockies have
confirmed the presence of male and female BAIRD'S SPARROWS on the
grassland.  Best place to search for the sparrows in on the Pronghorn Loop
Trail, especially the easternmost 2 miles.  On June 15, Norm Lewis reported
3 BAIRD'S SPARROWS at Soapstone Prairie.   On July 13, Brandon Nooner,
David Wade, and Nick Komar reported 12 McCown's Longspurs and 6 BAIRD'S
SPARROWS at Soapstone Prairie on the Pronghorn Loop Trail.   On July 14,
Anna Troth and Gregg Goodrich reported BAIRD'S SPARROW at Soapstone Prairie
NA.  On July 15, Steve Mlodinow reported 15 Chestnut-collared Longspurs, 2
McCown's Longspurs, and 8 BAIRD'S SPARROWS; Kathy Mihm Dunning reported 3
McCown's and 6 BAIRD's SPARROWS at Soapstone Prairie NA.  On July 15, Nick
Komar reported 8 BAIRD'S SPARROWS along Pronghorn Loop Trail; 4 BAIRD'S
SPARROWS along Plover trails and  lots ov McCown's Longspurs on Plover
Trail.  On July 16, Bez Bezuidenhout and Chris Gilbert reported BAIRDS'S
SPARROWS at Soapstone Prairie NA.   On July 17, Dean Shoup reported 3
BAIRD'S SPARROWS at Soapstone Prairie NA; Irene Fortune reported 1
Chestnut-collared Longspur and 4 BAIRD'S SPARROWS on the Plover Trail; Adam
Vesely reported 6 McCown's Longspurs and 5 BAIRD'S SPARROWS on the Plover
Trail; and Glenn Walbke reported 9 McCown's Longspurs and 6 BAIRD'S
SPARROWS on the Pronghorn Loop.  On July 19, Jerry Baines reported 2
BAIRD'S SPARROWS and 6 Chestnut-collared Longspurs at Soapstone Prairie.
On July 20, David Leatherman, David Wade, Georgia Doyle, and Nick Komar
reported 8 McCown's Longspurs, 15 BAIRD'S SPARROWS and 1 Chestnut-collared
Longspur at Soapstone Prairie.  Four singing male Baird's were along the
Pronghorn Loop Trail, 1 singing male at the intersection of Proghorn Loop
and Plover Trail and 5 Singing males along the Plover Trail, 4 of which
were paired up with females.  On July 21, Craig Rasmussen reported
Chestnut-collared Longspur and McCown's Longspur and 5 BAIRD'S SPARROWS to
the rt and left of junction of plover and pronghorn trail at Soapstone
Prairie.  On July 23, Nick Komar reported Chestnut-collared Longspur, 18
McCown's Longspurs, and 9 BAIRD'S SPARROWS (6 singing males and 1 fresh
juvenile) at Soapstone Prairie.
---On July 10,  3 f-type Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Sean Walters
on Honholz Lakes Road.
---On July 9 and 10, 2 Green Herons were reported by Richard Herrington at
Running Deer Natural Area.

LINCOLN COUNTY:
---On July 3, a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher and 3 Cassin's Kingbirds were
reported by Larry Modesitt on his Rush Breeding Bird Survey Route.  The
Scissor-tail was 13 m S of CO 94 on CR 2.  On July 4, Glenn Walbek reported
3 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers (2 ad, 1 juv) and a McCown's Longspur at CR 3
N of CR K.  On July 6, Gregg Goodrich reported 2 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers
on Hwy 94 east of Rush.  On July 7, 2 Scissor-tailed Flycatcher were
reported by Chris Gilbert on CR 2 and CR 3.  On July 10, Kathy Mihm Dunning
reported Scissor-tailed Flycatcher and Art Hudake and Tom  Behnfield
reported 2 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers on CR 3.  On July 11, Steve Mlodinow
reported Scissor-tailed Flycatcher.  On July 12, John Drummond reported 2
Scissor-tailed Flycatchers on CR 3 and M.  On July 15, BIll Kaempfer
reported young Scissor-tailed Flycathcer on CR 3 north of K.

Crook on US 138.

MESA COUNTY:
---On July 21, 2 American Three-toed Woodpeckers were reported by Mike
Henwood at Fruita Reservoir #1.
---On July 21 a f Gunnison Sage-Grouse was reported by Mike Henwood at
Glade Park, Pinyon Mesa.

OTERO COUNTY:
---On July 17 a Black-throated Sparrow was reported by David Tonnessen on
CR E.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
---On July19, Dave Silverman reported a m RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD in
Colorado City near Purgatorie Ave and Colorado Blvd.

ROUTT COUNTY:
---On July 20, Jason Beason reported 2 Least Flycatchers at Yampa St WA
South.

WASHINGTON COUNTY:
---On July 18 at Prewitt Reservoir, Steve Mlodinow reported WESTERN GULL,
Thayer's Gull, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, Red-headed Woodpecker, Least
