Finally the weather got off its hot and dry treadmill. Instead of nearly 90
like yesterday, today was cool (high of around 60).

Lamar Community College Woods had a nice mix with the highlights being:
House Wren
Marsh Wren
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Lincoln's Sparrow
BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER
Brown Thrasher
Northern Cardinal (2)
White-breasted Nuthatch (eastern)
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Chestnut-collared Longspur (heard overhead)
Krider's Red-tailed Hawk
Spotted Towhee
Orange-crowned Warbler (8)

Fairmount Cemetery:
PINE WARBLER (1 singing male) possibly the same bird that has been present for
months - if so, will it winter?

Total around town for the last week, which has seemed quite slow for this part
of the state and date: 81
