Hi All,

Last evening I received an e-mail about one of my banded Northern Saw-whet Owls that I thought some of you may be interested in.

The owl was banded in Estes Park on 10/4/2012 and was recaptured and released in Bartonsville PA. on 11/8/2016. That bird moved over 1700 miles in 4 years!

I have always said that Northern Saw-whet Owls are not migratory but rather wonder; and here is a little information to validate that.

Interesting huh?
