Hi Folks

Finally got a few more inches of snow here this morning – but the warm sun soon
sorted most of that out. No idea where next summer’s water is coming from – but
it isn’t the snowpack at this stage, and Mount Sopris looks distressingly
bare!!!

Last few days have seen a few “expected” birds

Carbondale:
BARROW’S GOLDENEYE 55 roosting tonight, Sunday, (as at 5:15pm) on Coryell Ranch
ponds (private) as viewed from Satank Road, by hwy82 east, with a scope
Also there this evening
15 Common Mergansers
12 American Wigeon
4 Trumpeter Swans (presumed locally bred)

Y’day, Saturday
BARROW’S GOLDENEYE 25 on Roaring Fork river – viewed from the bridge on
Catherine Store Road

Friday
Confluence Park, Delta, with Tom McConnell and Al Levantin
ca 10,000 Canada Geese, 5+Cackling Geese, 1 adult GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE,
c10 Ross’s Geese, c100 Snow Geese

Best wishes

Dick Filby
Carbondale, Garfield Cty
