---On  February 2 a (f) Black Scoter was reported at South Platte
Reservoir. First reported on November 10 by James McCall.


BACA COUNTY:

---On January 30 a Field Sparrow was reported from Baca CRs G & 36 by Kathy
Mihm-Dunning.


BOULDER COUNTY:

---On February 2 a Varied Thrush was reported at Pleasant View Marsh and
seen recently in neighborhood NW of park. First reported by Ernest Crvich
January 23.


DENVER COUNTY:

---On February 2 Rusty Blackbirds were reported at First Creek at DEN Open
Space. They were first reported on January 1.


EL PASO COUNTY:

—On February 2 a Field Sparrow was reported at Red Rock Canyon Open Space.
First reported by Jim Merritt on December 19.


GARFIELD COUNTY:

---On February 2 a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was found in Centennial Park in
Carbondale by Mary Harris, reported by Vic Zerbi.


GRAND COUNTY:
---On February 1 (3) Trumpeter Swans were reported at Confluence Recreation
Area (first right off Grand CR 1 = Trough Rd); first seen January 30 by
Alicia Arnold.


JEFFERSON COUNTY:

---On January 28 a (Red) Fox Sparrow continued at Red RocksTrading Post.
First reported by Cheryl Teuton on Nov 30.

---On January 28 a Winter Wren was reported at Morrison Park.

---On January 19 through 28 a flock of all three Rosy-Finch species was
reported at the home of Kirsten WItherell, 19640 W 55th Pl, Golden. For

LA PLATA COUNTY:

---On February 2 a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker at Animas River—Huck Finn Pond.
First reported by Ryan Votta December 2.


LARIMER COUNTY:

---On February 2  a GYRFALCON was seen from Trilby Rd at the Larimer County
Landfill by David Wade. Seen earlier this winter too.

---January 31 the GYRFALCON was photographed by Scott Bailey and reported
by Dave Leatherman at Reservoir Ridge Natural Area.

---On February 2 a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was seen again at Grandview
Cemetery. First reported by David Leatherman on January 8, just out on the
golf course, east of a Porta Potty.

—On January 30 a Glaucous Gull at Windsor Lake was seen again. Reported by
Ryan Graves on January 26.

—On January 30 a (f) Northern Cardinal was reported by Steve Martin at his
home SW of Wellington. It has been visiting his feeders since July.

PROWERS COUNTY:

---A Winter Wren was reported on February 1 at Lamar Community College by
Dorothy Russell.


PUEBLO COUNTY:

---On January 31 a Tundra Swan was reported west of Fowler (Hwy 50 at
Chicosa Creek) by Jerry DeBoer. First reported by Joey Kellner on Jan 28.

---On February 1 a Mew Gull was reported at Pueblo Reservoir (Sailboard
Area). First reported by Kara Carrager January 19.

---On February 1 a Glaucous-winged Gull was reported by David Tonnesson at
Pueblo Reservoir.

---On January 31 a Winter Wren was reported by Chris Nunes at Valco Ponds;
present since November.

—On January 31 a Carolina Wren was reported at the Arkansas River Trail,
east of Pueblo Blvd. First reported January 4 by Brandon Percival.

—On February 2 a Trumpeter Swan was reported at Valco Ponds SWA and Nature
and Raptor Center. First reported by Al Garner on Jan 15; found by Brandon
Percival on January 14.

---Note, a Great Black-backed Gull, “Murray” is often reported at Pueblo
Reservoir, where it has wintered for many years.


WELD COUNTY:

---On January 31 a Brant was discovered at Frederick Lake (Milavec
Reservoir) by Rachel Hopper.

---On January 28 a Long-tailed Duck was seen at Windsor Lake. First
reported by Nick Komar on January 27.

---On January 31 a (f) Long-tailed Duck continued at Milavec Reservoir.
First reported by Steve Mlodinow on November 22.

---On January 26 a PINK-FOOTED GOOSE was at Milavec Reservoir, but recent
searches have *not* turned it up among the thousands of geese. It could
still be there. First reported nearby by Steve Mlodinow on December 11.
This would be a first state record if approved by the Colorado Bird Record
Committee.
