Graces’s Warbler (Pueblo)



ADAMS COUNTY:

—-On June 21 a (m) Baltimore Oriole was reported at Metzger Farm Open
Space; first reported by Lauren Burke on June 17. It was paired with a
female Bullock’s Oriole. Please view from a distance.


BROOMFIELD COUNTY:

—-On June 17 a Green Heron was reported at Big Dry Creek & Willow Run Open
Space by Chipper Phillips. This is the first eBird record for the county
since 2010.


BOULDER COUNTY:

—-On June 21 a singing Field Sparrow was reported from Old Saint Vrain Rd
by Sue Riffe. This is the first Boulder County eBird record for any summer
month.

—-On June 22 a singing male Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported from
Bluebell Canyon, 100-200 meters up McClintock Trail from the stone bridge.
First reported on June 11 by Peter Gent.


DENVER COUNTY:

—-On June 17 a (m) BLUE-WINGED WARBLER was last reported at Fort Logan
Cemetery, at the small pond just south of Kenyon Ave. Park in the cemetery
OR in the small parking lot on Kenyon on the south side of Bear Creek Park
and go through a gap in the fence into the Cemetery to the nearby pond.
First found by Douglas Kibbe on June 14.


JACKSON COUNTY:

—-On June 20 a Caspian Tern was reported at Walden Reservoir by David
Suddjian.


JEFFERSON COUNTY:

—-On June 19 a Black Phoebe was reported at Chatfield SP (Audubon Center
and Trails). First reported on June 18 by Claire H.


LA PLATA:—-On June 22 an immature male RIVOLI’S HUMMINGBIRD was
photographed at a private home, as reported to the RBA by Kyle Medina.
Susan Allerton knows the homeowner and is asking for permission for birders
to visit. Further information will be posted promptly today on CObirds.


MONTROSE COUNTY:

—-On June 17 a Least Flycatcher was reported at the Ute Indian Museum in
the town of Montrose by Laura Steadman. First county record.


PUEBLO COUNTY:

—-On June 19 a Grace’s Warbler graced a small pond near the entrance to
Pueblo Mountain Park, as reported by Evan Carlson. This has become an
annual occurrence and is a site close to Front Range birders.
