Rare in NE Colorado in the fall, there are only a handful of eBird records for Adams. —On October 9 a (f) Prothonotary Warbler was netted by Meredith McBurney at the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies banding station at Barr Lake. It was a recapture, having been banded on October 8. ARAPAHOE COUNTY: —On October 7 (2) Cattle Egrets, uncommon in the county, were reported at Aurora Reservoir by David Suddjian. —On October 8 a Tennessee Warbler was reported at Aurora Reservoir by Amanda Spears. —On October 7 a Hooded Warbler was reported at Lee Gulch Trail, about 50 ft from Mineral Ave; first reported on September 20 by Santiago Taberas. CROWLEY COUNTY: —On October 5 a SPRAGUE’S PIPIT was reported at Lake Henry by Steve Mlodinow. EL PASO COUNTY: —On October 5 a SPRAGUE’S PIPIT was reported at Chico Ranch Ranch (fee area) by John Drummond. GARFIELD COUNTY: —On October 5 a Trumpeter Swan was reported from the Rio Grande bike trail,1380 County Rd 100, Carbondale by Ted Uhlemann. JEFFERSON COUNTY: —On October 6 a Palm Warbler was reported at Standley Lake Park on north shore by James McCall. LARIMER COUNTY: —On October 7 a Dunlin was reported at Timnath Reservoir; first found by Nick Komar on the 4th.
