For those of you who wish to look for the reported Ruff, here are some notes on
accessing Timnath Reservoir. The town park at south end (accessed from CR-40)
is posted “permit only” but FC Audubon has negotiated for birder access. The
puddle hosting the Ruff is not visible from the park, and requires a 20-30 min
hike.

A better option is to park in the Wildwing neighborhood. Access from CR1 (aka
Weld CR13). Drive as far west as possible where construction of houses has not
yet started. Here you can walk along north shoreline to the “shorebird puddle”
in 10 minutes.

Please do not flush this bird for photography.
