COBirders,

I would like to echo Libby's request. The salmonella outbreak was bad (+/-15%
mortality rate) in North Idaho, Washington, and BC this year. It had been an
irruption year for the species with large numbers reported throughout the
region making the outbreak that much more noticeable. We took our feeding
station down back in January to try and help stop the spread in our flock.

I had meant to ask when we got back down here to Colorado to understand the
extent of the problem this year, so thanks again for asking Libby. Very
interested in any responses.

Subject: [cobirds] Information about Salmonella outbreak in Colorado

Hello
I have heard from a few sources that there is a salmonella outbreak in Idaho
and Utah with bird die offs. What, if any, news is there about Colorado birds
and what is recommended to do about this to keep it spreading here?
Thanks
Libby Edwards
