We banded only 18 birds and caught 2 House Wrens banded last year: House Wren 2 new, 2 banded 2021 Gray Catbird 1 Orange-crowned Warbler 1 Yellow Warbler 1 Common Yellowthroat 1 Wilson's Warbler 11 Lesser Goldfinch 1 (FOS, and only the 2nd one caught since 2015!) Picking up on a thread from Julie's e-mail about recaptures: I have not been listing our recaps - birds that we have banded this season and then recaught again. Our daily number of these has been between 10-15, which I believe is higher than what Julie is seeing, especially since she is catching more new birds most days. We really have no idea how many (or what percentage) hang around for a day or a week or longer. The amount of fat they have put on varies greatly.
