I'm not sure why that is a problem, but one can certainly write whatever one wants in the python code.
Would it make sense to add the capability for the specification of the needed function name constraints to the semantic patch language directly? Can potential SmPL matches be restricted to patterns where a part of an identifier should not exist before the desired adjustment?
