I would appreciate if the Python scripting interface would also use an
integral data type for them. I guess that it will be more efficient when the
conversion between text and numbers can be avoided.
I'm not super eager to change it for backward compatability reasons.
Were the data types of the elements/attributes in your scripting interfaces ever
officially documented?
I don't think efficiency at this point is an issue.
I would prefer to care also for this software aspect. Are there still chances to
improve the situation for your release candidate or a tool version in the near
future?
