----------------------------------------------------------- From: BachiGuddi1 Message 2 in Discussion Hi Roland, IMO , persisting the view state info on the server and transparently (transparent for applicaton programmer ) injecting into the page processing logic is a good optmization tip . ( Evan for normal ASP.net app which is meant to serve desktop devices also ). Chapter 5 of the Building ASP.net server controls ( APress - Dale Michalk and Rob Cameron ) contains info on server control ( also page ) life cycle. By implementing IPostBackDataHandler and IPostBackEventHandler for each page in ur app , u can achieve ur objective. One has to have a good understanding of ASP.net page life cycle. One can use a Binary File , XML document to store the view state info on the server.
