Lisa-

FYI... before you buy a cockapoo make sure you ask the
breeder what type of poodle was its parent. Some
breeders are now breeding with standard poodles so
their size can get up to 40 lbs. Usually they are
15-20lbs if bred with a Toy poodle.

They don't shed, but the myth that they are
"hypoallergenic" is untrue. Any allergist will tell
you there is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog.
They do have much less dander than other dogs because
of their poodle background... but very allergic
persons will still suffer. (I found out the hard way
and I love her too much to give her up now.)

Training ability depends on your time availability.
Since it is just me and I work full time and have a
social life it was a challenge with housebreaking. I
gave in and used a crate after a month of chaos.
Every so often she still has accidents if I am not
paying attention. Puppy Kindergarten was a wonderful
thing to train me!!

Good luck... there are tons of excellent websites with
info.
