Shari, I tried to IM you tonight but it didn't go through. In the
past I have found that if you sprinkle Alum (a spice you can buy at
any grocery store) on the puppies food, it will make thier stools
very unatractive to them. You would think that poop was
unattractive enough on its own... Many times dogs eat their stools
just because they are hungry and are lacking something in their
diet. Not saying you aren't feeding her properly, just her body is
telling her she needs something more. She could have a food
allergy. She may not be retaining nutrients the way she should. You
may want to try a special type of dog food. Many dogs can have
severe food allergies... not uncommon. To make her stomack calm,
you can try boiling some chicken and shred it , w/ a little rice and
some cottage cheese. If she keeps that down, then start monitoring
what and how much food you give her. Write it down and you will
start to see a trend. Could be a wheat allergy, which is also in
cheerios. I would recommend seeing your vet right away though.
There are special dog foods for food allgergies. Hope this helps.
