I've been trying to teach her "leave it" for the things I don't want her to get into but it’s a VERY slow process! For that command what you need to do is remove things from her mouth while
saying the words leave it or drop it, if it is something she can have then you
give it back to her but first praise the heck out of her for allowing you to
take it. It works for several reasons as you will never thru her
life have a problem with taking anything away from her and when outside and if
something she shouldn't have she will spit it out. I have taught all 4 of
mine this and now years later as I say the word drop they are spitting what they
have in their mouth whatever it is, if its something they can have, I tell them
ok and they quick pick it back up.
