My Vet is awesome. He sent the biopsy of the lymphnode to Cornell
Vet University and they came up with a protocol for the Chemo. I
then faxed that to a friend's friend who in an oncologist for animals
in CA. She said it looked good. My vet ordered all the medication
and he administered it.

One week would be a shot, the next a drip, the next would be oral
medication and the next another type of shot. This was every
wednesay morning from February to end of July. It was a huge
commitment on my part. Scheduling time off from work etc. My vet
wasn't sure I would be able to keep up with the schedule.. you can't
miss a week. For about 1 month it was every other week but still...

Vinnie hated going there... he could tell right when we pulled into
the parking lot. Now my husband works from home and he was left w/
frankie. When we left in the car he would bring her out to say
goodbye and she would wait on the floor, near the back door just
staring at it until we came home. She would even whimper sometimes.
I don't know what she will do when the time comes. They do EVERY
thing together. We have already thought of getting #3 just so it
won't be so traumatic for her and while Vinnie feels well enough to
tolerate a puppy. I just have to wait to make sure his immnune
system is strong enough to handle a puppy and what goes along w/ that.

Take care...

Renee

PS. I may be in Jacksonville FL in November....Just for a day or 2
