She was given Hill's
Science Diet by the breeder, but the ingredient list really doen's seem
too healthy.
I agree with that about Science Diet, after doing much research on dog food,
I am not too kean on it. Most vets do however recommend that or Eukanuba
but food for thought most vets sell either or at their clinics, it has been
said they get a commission on what they sell, truth or fiction, don't know. I
did use Eukanuba when mine were puppies but have since gotten away from them
and feed them better quality foods.

I started giving her Solid Gold puppy food, but I notice
her stool was soft. She has been on the Solid Gold for 4 weeks now and
her stool is still soft, so I am thinking of changing to another brand.
Any thoughts on a good brand for a puppy that is healthy?

Solid Gold may be too rich for her yet, there are a lot of choices out
there with great results. One of the foods mine love and seems to be a
favorite
of a lot of cockapoos is Bil Jac, that is sold in either Petco or Petsmart,
its not the perfect premium food but better than store bought brands. The one
food I think is excellent is Innova, while doing research seems to be
excellent among ingredients, Canidae is another excellent one as is Wellness,
California Natural, Pinnacle, Artemis most of these you can only get online or
in
feed stores they normally don't sell to chain stores like petco or petsmart.

Most importantly is taking a food and dissecting the ingredients, here is a
link to food labels and how to read them _foodcht1_
(http://www.doberdogs.com/foodcht1.html) when you reach the bottom read on to
part II that explains
what some of the ingredients actually are.

Hope some of this helps.
