Did you teach her the drop it command, that is the single most important
thing that a dog needs to learn. It serves not only the purpose of it
dropping
things that they shouldn't have, but it also allows you to take anything away
from them. This should be started as soon as you get them home as a young
pup, you take things out of their mouth and look it over while praising the
pup and then giving it back. With practice day after day the pup will allow
anything to be taken from them for their entire lives. I have 4 cockapoos and
I can put my hand down their throats and they have never snarled, nipped, or
put their mouths down on me or anyone else. I just have to start saying the
word drop and they spit out what ever it is, if it is ok I tell them so and
the pick it back up. To me this is as important as the come command.
