That was my other concern, you said he was an older trainer. Training has changed to much in just the last few years. I think I would find someone with positive reinforcement. But to be honest, I would go the medical way first, the the trainer may not be needed. barb

And the way it should be, only you know your dog, vets see them for a small
amount of time and have no idea what they are like 24/7, and even trainers they
aren't around them all the time. As you said you are their voice.
