Yes, yes, great ideas for the new baby!
We did similar things for our beautiful cockapoo, Fonzi, who is now 5 years old.
In the crate, we placed a stuffed octopus toy and a baby blanket from Jackie
the breeder at DJ's Cockapoos in Texas. We also put in a small clock with a
gentle ticking to simulate Fonzi's mom's heartbeat. I threw in my old Teddy
Bear toy because of the loving eyes it had that could watchover the new baby -
sentimental me!
Worked wonders and the crate is a safe place to this day for Fonzi.
We put some treats in there, too so he knows it's a great place for good things.
His fears were quickly allayed.
