Any longer hair dog can suffer from heat exhaustion its not just cockapoos,
to cool him down give him a cool bath, that will bring down his body
temperature, give him water but not ice water, dogs sweat glands are on their
feet
and their noses, when running around their feet can't sweat to cool their
bodies down, and panting also cools them down, my dogs hate the heat and will
not
stay out for any length of time, cockapoos generally do love the winter. If
he has long hair cut it shorter, longer hair holds the heat, but not bald
because hair also is there insulator.

If he isn't better I would make a trip to the vet, heat stroke shows some of
these signs too.

We called the emergency
vet, and they said that heat exhaustion is very common in cockapoos.
I did not realize this, and Im wondering if anyone else has. We have
been spoon feeding him water to get him hydrated, and letting him
rest. If anyone has any other advice, I would greatly appreciate it!
