LOL is right! My Mia literally didn't bark for the first 8 months. Then
like a switch was flicked she start to become aware of and bark at my
neighbor's cat. She only barks when a stranger comes to the house, but she
seems to have an intuitive knowledge that friends and family are coming and
NEVER barks at anyone when them come in the house. She'll bark when we do
"crazy, chase you play" out of excitement; and when I ignore her ringing her
bell to go do her business, she'll come right over and give me one "hey,
wake up lady bark". I don't find my cockapoo to by yippie or overprotective
barking. Generally, as a breed, they are very friendly and not the watch
dog type; however, each dog is individual; but we also consider ourselves
VERY lucky that we don't have a dog that just barks to bark.

Hi everybody,

I just had to ask this question: Does your cockapoo bark?

I have a female cockapoo (Bella) who is now 9 months old. I have heard her
bark once during this time when another dog was afraid and wouldn't play
with her LOL. She never barks in the house, when people walk in etc. I
tell everyone she is perfection in an animal! I considered another cockapoo
for her to play with but I am too afraid that I wouldn't get this lucky
twice. I live in a very large apartment, so with the barking situation, I
consider myself very lucky!
