Hi all,
so, we live in an apartment building with two apartments per floor.
Our neighbors moved out about a week before we got Ellie (in April),
but now we believe someone's going to be moving in at the end of the
month.
The problem is that anytime she hears anyone in the common hallway
(we're on the top floor, so the only reason they would have been here
in the past is to come to our apartment), Ellie runs to the door and
just starts barking her head off. Now that we're going to have
neighbors, we're getting a little nervous for the constant barking.
Does anyone have any tips on what we should do to stop her from
barking at the door? Will it wear off after a few days, or should we
comfort her, or open the door to show her what's out there?
