I disagree. NSSound supports all the formats CoreAudio does, and normally for brief sounds people use AIFF. I can't imagine any feature supporting _only_ MP3; it's an archaic format. Apple doesn't even provide an MP3 encoder in the OS, for complicated legal reasons.
