I understand how to call a method and I've make my app work as I wanted with method and code etc.
The problem, is that the challenge's main objective is to do it only in interface builder, and this is where I'm stuck. I should retrieve the lenght of personName (witch is as you guess a NSString) and compare it to other person's name. > Hi, I don't have the book in front of me but if personName is a NSString. > Then, you can do the following: > int stringLength = [ personName length ]; > Good luck, > -Conrad > > On Tue, Jul 22, 2008 at 11:23 PM, Alexandre Badez >> >> Hy, >> >> I'm actually reading the "cocoa programming for Mac OS X (third edition)". >> >> In chapter 8 we build an application witch display an array of object >> with 2 properties (personName, expectedRaise). >> We add sorting to the NSTableView using key: personName and selector: >> "caseInsensitiveCompare:". >> >> Now, for challenge, I try to sort the same column according to the >> lenght of the personName. >> >> I think that I should use the selectore "compare:" of NSNumber, but >> what should be my key path for retrieving the lenght of the personName >> ? >> >> I tried something like [EMAIL PROTECTED] (and @lenght.personName) >> personName.lenght but none of them seems to work properly. -- Alex _______________________________________________ Cocoa-dev mailing list (Cocoa-dev@lists.apple.com) Please do not post admin requests or moderator comments to the list.
