That's correct - you will need to figure out the next time you want to make an announcement, given the current time, and calculate how far in the future that is. Keep in mind that NSTimers don't guarantee exact timing; they may fire slightly before or significantly after the target date. (In other words, be careful about handling "missed" announcements, especially in cases such as the computer going to sleep or the user adjusting the time or time zone.)
