You have but to try for yourself:

{
        BOOL flag = NO;

$ gcc-4.2 -Wformat=2 /Users/sean/Desktop/test.m

It could be that the compiler is capable but Apple's headers are lacking
proper declarations.  But it makes little difference to us users exactly why.
