Okay, here's the answer (thanks to Knut Lorenzen, author of the excellent (german) book "Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard"): Apparently, starting with Snow Leopard Apple no longer puts the developer examples on the Snow Leopard Installation discs. :-( However, they (including the GridMandelbrot sample) are still on the Leopard discs and -- at least as far as GridMandelbrot is concerned -- work with 10.6, too.
You can find the examples on the original Leopard Install Disc 1 here: /Volumes/Mac OS X Install Disc 1/Optional Installs/Xcode Tools/Packages/DevExamples.pkg Cheers, Stefan. 2009/10/5 Stefan Wolfrum <metaw...@googlemail.com> > Hi all, > > I wanted to dive into Xgrid and read that the Mandelbrot sample would be a > good start and that it's located at > /Developer/Examples/Xgrid/GridMandelbrot. > > However, after installing the lastest Xcode dmg (3.2) on my 10.6.1 system I > couldn't find such a folder. :-( > > Neither could I find this sample code at developer.apple.com. :-(( > > Any help/hints? > > Thanks a lot, > Stefan. > > ----- > Von meinem iPhone 3G gesendet. :-) > _______________________________________________ Cocoa-dev mailing list (Cocoa-dev@lists.apple.com) Please do not post admin requests or moderator comments to the list.
