Posting code helps preempt the common question "What have you tried?". It can also help others see if the poster is misunderstanding or missing a key aspect. It also helps others searching the archives in the future and if you're lucky someone might actually spot some [potentially unrelated] nasty, hidden gotchas that will come back to bite you or your users later (or sooner). Of course try to post only the code that relates to the question. If that's still a lot there are numerous "web clipboard" services that let you copy large amounts of text & paste a URL linking to it.
