I have an fetched-results-controller (FRC) that returns entities that are sorted by name. After I get Core Location callbacks up and running, I need to update the sort order of the same result set but by distance (another attribute/property of the same entity). It just so happens that distance is an transient property and does not persist. Thus, when I issue a fetch request with a sort descriptor for distance, I get an invalid argument exception. How can I effectively sort by distance, based on updates from Core Location while continuing to use the FRC and transient properties? I realize I could make distance not be transient but I'm hoping to avoid that. Perhaps there is another way to update the sort order for a result set that has aready been fetched and is being managed by an FRC? -SMJ _______________________________________________
