Now that iOS 5 is out there and we are no longer under the NDA I will repost this question. Really it probably has nothing to do with iOS 5 but everything about how to fix odd installer issues.
Ever since I installed Lion on my iMac I have been having troubles when I try to play sounds in the Simulator. My App works on the device and is in the App Store no problems. I just downloaded iOS5 to prepare for the launch and still have the same problem but I have not loaded the OS on my device so I can't test. When I test in the iPhone 5 Simulator I get the following error: Error loading /System/Library/Extensions/AudioIPCDriver.kext/Contents/Resources/AudioIPCPlugIn.bundle/Contents/MacOS/AudioIPCPlugIn: dlopen(/System/Library/Extensions/AudioIPCDriver.kext/Contents/Resources/AudioIPCPlugIn.bundle/Contents/MacOS/AudioIPCPlugIn, 262): Symbol not found: ___CFObjCIsCollectable Referenced from: /System/Library/Frameworks/Security.framework/Versions/A/Security Expected in: /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator5.0.sdk/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreFoundation.framework/CoreFoundation in /System/Library/Frameworks/Security.framework/Versions/A/Security When I try this in the iPhone 4.3 simulator it just crashes with an exception that tells me nothing. Any thoughts on what this is and how to fix it? Am I forced to uninstall Xcode and reinstall?
