The general rule across Cocoa is that initializers and factory methods return 
id typed objects (ie. -[NSArray initWithArray:], +[NSArray arrayWithArray:]), 
while shared instances returns explicitly typed objects (ie. +[NSProcessInfo 
processInfo]).
