IMHO it’s nicer to support untitled documents. It’s a simpler experience for 
the user. I sometimes create documents for temporary use with no intention of 
saving them, or I may get partway through making a document and then change my 
mind and don’t want a junk file being left behind.

I think the reason Xcode wants the location ahead of time is because it 
interacts with all kinds of dev tools to which the path to a file is really 
important, so having a project in some random temporary dir would seem weird.
