[C1] Syntax checking in Cocoon

Hi   Can you make Cocoon 1 check syntax of a document according to a XML Schema  (xsd)? How?   E.g. make Cocoon 1 check wether the use of esql corresponds to the definitions in esql.xsd.   Thanx
