That's really helpfull, but one error is in it: It must not be a variable, but a parameter in the stylesheet: <xsl:param name="parametername">/</xsl:param> Now the value of the parameter parametername of the request http://ser.ver/file.htm?parametername=xyz is usable in the stylesheet.
