Yes, this is certainly possible. I think the best option would be to initiate a 
sendAndLoad() on an XSP under Cocoon, that writes the information to your database and 
returns a piece of XML back to the Flash movie. The movie has to be in the same 
location as where you are posting your data (within the same domain name). Otherwise, 
Flash will generate a security error.

has sombody done this before? I'd like to send an xml-string to the
server and update some database records. as I'm a newbie to cocoon
