It's a very good idea, though, it's not much in XForms way (I mean the W3C XForms). Unfortunately, this is not implemented now. It'd be fine if you could provide a patch or send a more detailed request to cocoon-dev list, so Ivelin (the author of XMLForms) and other developers could participate in discussing it and implementing.
