thank you for the input.
i'm currently discussing with Derek to skip the generic
submount in favour of a static match... The possible problems
you mention below gives just another argument, why we should
make it simpler here...
We now favorise to guide the user to setup a match for
a specific "work:" folder instead of the */** match ...
Maybe we should also point to the already existing matcher for
external mounts ?
i'll add your suggested further reading pages tonight.
thanks again,
hussayn

Hi Hussayn,
nice work! Just two comments:
1)
I didn´t test it but I suspect that there might be a problem with some of the default matchers, since "your" pipeline, i.e. the generic automount pipeline is the last one.
Here are some matchers which might interfere (there are more):
<map:match pattern="news/**.gif">
<map:match pattern="forms/*">
<map:match pattern="images/**.jpg">
<map:match pattern="**/">
The user might name his work directory "news". In that case he won´t see any of his images, which is probably very confusing. I´m also not sure about the last matcher. Doesn´t it match everything?
2)
You may want to link to other pages in the wiki, especially [sitemap] and [UnderstandingCocoonMounts].

Betreff: Added a beginners page on basic cocoonapp organisation
Hy;
After a break i made up my mind and added a simple tutorial on
webapp organisation using subsitemaps. Most of this has already
been adressed in several places, but maybe it fits best in the
"Cocoon Competence Center". I would be glad, if someone
could review this and eventually clearify parts of it, if i failed
to find the right words.
