Hi, I agree. At least in the use cases I'm thinking of, that wouldn't update dy. Also, if the top of a cell has been crossed, last.y - new.y (and so dy) is necessarily non-zero, so the inner if-clause is always True. In my opinion swapping the lines would be a good idea.
