I never ever did that - it might work, but it would be a lot easier, if you removed those two files and ran "venus -init" - it will do everything for you.By the way, theres no venus-setup in this distro...Using debian? venus-setup is just useless, all it would have done has been set up correctly by debconf.
Can you help me out on this one? i removed and installed coda-client package. Now it simply refuses to install.
I did a "manual" install from the binaries in the package. all seems fine. just the LOG and DATA file are giving me trouble now.
I used rvmutil and create a 20M LOG file and a 16M DATA file.
I might be wrong, but I think that should work. If it doesn't, you need to "touch /usr/coda/INIT" - then venus will do for sure.
