Hello all:
I just installed a Coda server on one machine and
the Coda client on two separate machines.
I set up the volume on the server and started playing
with the volumes on the two clients. I wanted to
see what would happen if I created a file conflict
so I opened the same text file on both client machines
and added different content.
Once I saved the files, the Coda server crashed.
That is not good.
I see this output in the SrvLog on the server:
22:50:46 GetAttrPlusSHA: Computing SHA 3000001.1a.e, disk.inode=1
22:51:37 CheckCreateSemantics: .test.txt.swp already exists in 3000001.1.1
22:51:37 Entering VFlushVnode for vnode 1
22:51:37 Entering VFlushVnode for vnode 20
22:51:37 ****** FILE SERVER INTERRUPTED BY SIGNAL 11 ******
22:51:37 ****** Aborting outstanding transactions, stand by...
22:51:37 Uncommitted transactions: 1
22:51:37 Uncommitted transactions: 1
22:51:37 Committing suicide now ........
I tried removing the CRASH file and restarting the sever
and it just crashes again with this output:
22:54:05 CheckRenameSemantics: 3000001.52.2a, VCP error (698)
22:54:05 Entering VFlushVnode for vnode 1
22:54:05 Entering VFlushVnode for vnode 20
22:54:05 ****** FILE SERVER INTERRUPTED BY SIGNAL 11 ******
22:54:05 ****** Aborting outstanding transactions, stand by...
22:54:05 Uncommitted transactions: 1
22:54:05 Uncommitted transactions: 1
22:54:05 Committing suicide now ........
I followed the guides in the Wiki to set up these machines, but
if you need more detail, please let me know.
Thanks,
Neil
