I am so sorry, Kate, that you have been a victim on this email list! As you can see from everyone voting for a statement, we all want to reiterate that the members of this list should value diversity and respect toward others.
I've been subjected to a lot of hate speech on Twitter (even from librarians!), & their words & approval of destructive behaviors has been heart-rending. Seeing people who professed in the past to value diversity now mocking & demeaning other people is a sad time.
