Reporting to the Head of Collection Development, Exhibitions, and Engagement,

lead on the Pitts Theology Library staff. The SDSL is responsible for
developing and maintaining library software systems, which currently include
the OpenRoom room booking tool, the library entrance web application, the
Digital Image Archive (http://pitts.emory.edu/dia), digital signage, the
library website, and digital companions to the library’s exhibitions program
including the exhibitions website (http://exhibitions.pitts.emory.edu). The
SDSL also coordinates library assessment at Pitts, including the gathering,
visualizing, and reporting of library use data. The SDSL serves as the primary
liaison with counterparts at other Emory libraries and at Emory Library and
Information Technology Services (LITS), with regard to shared software systems,
such as the library services platform (ExLibris’s Alma). The SDSL serves as the
coordinator of all digital projects born at the library, in coordination with
other relevant units at the University, notably the Emory Center for Digital
Scholarship. The SDSL will work with faculty at Candler School of Theology and
Emory University to advance digital scholarship in theology and religion. The
SDSL will also serve as part of the library’s reference team and provide
reference services, serving as the coordinator of all instruction in digital
