The Syracuse University Libraries invites applications from creative and inquisitive individuals to join our newly-formed Department of Digital Stewardship as our Metadata Strategies Librarian. The successful applicant will work closely with our small – but dedicated – cross-organizational Digital Library Program team to produce, manage, create access to, and preserve our digital content across the variety of platforms and services that comprise our digital library infrastructure. In particular, the Metadata Strategies Librarian will focus on creating, maintaining, and enriching metadata for digital objects and collections managed by the Libraries. The incumbent will also work with cataloging, archival processing, and Libraries’ IT staff to ensure smooth transfer of data between various systems to promote use of unique resources.
