Dartmouth Library is looking for a collaborative and innovative Research Data
Science Specialist to join our growing Research Data Services (RDS) program. We
are looking for a thoughtful, experienced candidate who enjoys working with
complex data, supporting student and faculty researchers alike, and
facilitating computational research. The candidate should value diverse
backgrounds and perspectives while enhancing the Library’s research data
support, education, and outreach efforts.  The Research Data Science Specialist
will assist in the development and implementation of the Library’s research
data services, and enable everyone from advanced undergraduate students to
faculty PIs to complete reproducible scholarship by assisting in the
collection, analysis, visualization, and dissemination of data-intensive
research.

The Library’s Research Data Services program works collaboratively with the
Research Computing department in Dartmouth’s Information Technology and
Consulting division, the Library’s subject liaisons and digital strategies
group, among others, to coordinate, develop, and provide data and computational
research project support in both course and sponsored project settings. This
collaboratively developed and delivered program also provides curricular and
co-curricular instruction on a variety of data management, text and data
analysis, data visualization, and advanced computing topics.

As we continue to evolve our RDS program, we are looking to expand services in
advanced text analysis, reproducible research and open science support, and in
the creation and curation of FAIR data and computationally-intensive
scholarship.
