The University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Medicine Library is looking for a Multimedia Design Specialist to support our new makerspace.
ROLE of the POSITION Reporting to the Director, School of Medicine Library, the Multimedia & Design Specialist is a key member of a team of professionals responsible for supporting the Makerspace in the School of Medicine Library. The Multimedia & Design Specialist provides expert instructions for groups utilizing specialized multimedia technologies for educational and research purposes and provides personalized consultation on multimedia use, creation, manipulation, and publishing to individuals. Through outreach to faculty, staff, students, physician trainees, and interdisciplinary campus groups, the Specialist exercises leadership in developing and evolving multimedia and design technologies and services that support knowledge creation. Additionally, the Specialist will investigate and evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption, develop online learning objects, coordinate projects, provide workshops, and develop professional development opportunities for student employees who support multimedia creation and use at the School of Medicine Library.
