Fundamentals of JavaScript and jQuery Thursday, April 25, 2013, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM ET Florida Gulf Coast University - 10501 FGCU Boulevard South, Library Room 211, Fort Myers, Florida 33965 Along with HTML and CSS, JavaScript is one of the fundamental client-side building blocks of modern, interactive websites. Learn a solid introduction to this scripting language. Learn about JavaScript syntax, rules, common uses, and the best practices. jQuery is a popular JavaScript library that makes using JavaScript easier, faster, more efficient, and often more powerful. Students will learn the basics of jQuery, what jQuery plugins are, and how to leverage jQuery on web sites. The workshop will conclude with a discussion of the myriad of free online resources available for continued education.
