Systems Administrator - Position Description The University of Pittsburgh University Library System (ULS) is seeking a UNIX System Administrator to ensure continuity of service for the ULS' library systems, and electronic publishing services. This is a high-level, regular, fulltime position responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. Qualifications The incumbent is required to have a minimum of 5 years of experience administrating UNIX systems in a large organization. Certification in Solaris or Linux administration is a plus. The incumbent is required to possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (preferred), Information Science, or other related area.
